I’m a time traveler, a distance rider, a shadow’s spark, maybe even an alien.

I am a traveler striving to expand my horizon into the far-reaching unknown. I study and practice alone–there is no party of warriors with whom I work. I quote Castaneda where applicable, and I read outside of his works as well. My interests are changes at the social base: social experience, gender and modernism, perceptual flux, and personal interaction. There’s more, to be certain, but I write to capture some of my experiences and to share the personal process of “going to power.”

There is a lot written about how Castaneda found power and a lot on those who have found power through his works. The majority of work published on the internet (at this time) seems to be geared toward one of two perspectives: those who are just gaining interest in Castaneda (or Castaneda 101) and those who “have their own party” I want to bridge that gap and describe my own process through articulation and synthesis of the works, thoughts, and concepts available. I don’t profess to have knowledge of anything, the final say, but I can attest to some things and describe my own experience of walking a path with heart and seeking Freedom.

I read with a philosopher’s approach, being critical of the logic and reason behind his writing and the clear and coherent underlying structure. As such, I consider myself an armchair philosopher who found a desk.
